Setting your party date is an important and possibly difficult task. The most important first task you have is to determine your goal with the party. Do you want the party to be a simple get together with your friends, or do want to organize a thirty year reunion with your collage friends? Your party date will depend on a variety of factors.
Party Planning Time
One of the first and most important questions you might ask yourself is: How much time do I need to plan my party? Are you the most organized person you know? Do you have any experience planning events? Are you going to hire a party planner? Are you going to ask for help to plan your party?
Commitments
You want to make sure your party date does not conflict with other important dates such as graduations, birthdays, or any other possible significant events that might prevent your friends and family members from attending your party. It is good to discuss the potential dates with some of the most important people you plan on inviting to your party party.
Holidays
It is generally a good idea to avoid party dates set for holidays such as Christmas, the 4th of July. The exception is, of course, when the theme of your party of the Holiday. Many people you plan to invite may be out of town around the holidays, and it may be too much to ask someone to cancel their yearly vacation for your party.
Weekend or Weekday
It makes perfect sense to plan you party to take place a weekend day. Saturday is the perfect day for parties, but Fridays nights or Sundays are also good alternatives.
Party Day Expense
Before you spend a dime, you must have a set budget. Dont leave the house without a shopping list. The shopping list helps you avoid impulse buying, which is the biggest enemy of shopping budgets.
